Cows Creamery has been recognized as a producer of top-quality cheeses at the American Cheese Society Competition in Denver, Color.
This competition is held annually in different cities across the United States with entries coming in from across North America.
Cows Creamery is celebrating a first-place ribbon for both the Extra Old and the Appletree Smoked Cheddars, and a second-place ribbon for the Avonlea Clothbound Cheddar.
A total of 281 cheesemakers from across North America submitted 2,024 cheeses into the American Cheese Society Competition. Cows Creamery was one of only a few Canadian companies to be recognized at the event.
Cows Creamery produces three types of cheddar and three types of butter on Prince Edward Island and its products are distributed across Canada and in the United States.
