Charlottetown – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce commends the provincial government on their new learner focused education strategy. The Chamber anticipates that this collaborative approach to learning, incorporating the English Language School Board into the Department of Education, Early Learning and Culture, will lead to increased engagement, efficient use of resources and enhancement of the culture of learning on Prince Edward Island.
The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce has been a constant and consistent advocate for introducing changes to the Province’s education system to improve the academic performance of Island students. The students we are educating today are the workforce of tomorrow and the economic viability of our province is directly linked to the quality of our workforce. In order to compete in today’s global economy, our students must have access to a top-level education system.
The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce serves as the “Voice of Business” on economic issues for over 975 members representing more than 17,500 employees in small, medium and large enterprises in the capital region.
