Charlottetown, PE – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting Kevin Howlett, Senior Vice President for Regional Market with Air Canada for a Business Builder Luncheon on Friday April 22, 2016, at the Rodd Charlottetown. Howlett will speak about the unique features of the Air Canada rouge product, and its potential for the Island. The Business Builder Luncheon is sponsored by the Charlottetown Airport Authority.
“We are pleased to be hosting this business luncheon with Kevin Howlett, Air Canada’s Senior Vice President for Regional Market,” said Wendy Drake, Chamber President. “Air access is critical to our members and business community, and directly impacts our ability to competitively do business and attract tourists. Increasing access is at the forefront of our priorities. We look forward to continuing to build air capacity at our airport through a strong partnership with Air Canada and the Charlottetown Airport Authority.”
Starting May 2, P.E.I. will be served by Air Canada rouge. The deployment of Air Canada rouge in Charlottetown will enhance the opportunities to grow traffic on the Island, in particular to attract an increased number of tourists from the Air Canada network. Members of the business community will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Howlett and hear first-hand Air Canada’s plans for the Prince Edward Island market.
Kevin Howlett was appointed Senior Vice President, Regional Markets in September, 2013. In this role, Kevin has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of Air Canada’s regional operations and the relationship with current and future regional carriers operating on its behalf.
