With its recent purchase of a local Step-On Guide business, Target Tours, based in Morell, PEI, is now one of the largest companies offering inbound tour services in Prince Edward Island.
Target Tours is known for its high-quality group tours to destinations like New York City, Niagara Falls, Nashville, Europe, and cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean. Based in Morell, PEI, the company has been expanding its inbound business within the Maritimes over the past several years and has recently purchased PEI-based Step-On Guide business, Hayward Guide Service, formerly owned by Leah-Jane Hayward.
This is the second Step-On Guide business Target Tours, owned by John and Lynn Dunphy, has purchased, the first in 2014, when it acquired Capture the Spirit Tour Service. Over the past three years, Target Tours has experienced steady growth in both Step-On Guide services and full receptive tour planning for groups visiting PEI and other Maritime provinces.
“This purchase allows us to grow our inbound Step-On Guide business and to position ourselves as a one-stop shop for any visiting group tours to PEI and the Maritimes,” says John Dunphy. “We’re thrilled that Leah-Jane trusts us to continue her hard work at showing groups our beautiful corner of Canada. We’re happy to have her join our team as a highly experienced Step-On Guide for PEI.”
Regarding the transition, Hayward is confident clients will receive a quality, entertaining experience. “By handing my clients over to John and his team, I am confident they will receive the same professional and fun experience visiting Prince Edward Island that I’ve provided for 25 years,” she says.
