PEI’s francophone entrepreneurs and co-operators will learn, free of charge, the key to entrepreneurial success from a legendary Quebec entrepreneur – Luc Pépin, one of the co-owners of BuroPro Citation (member of the Hamster group). He will deliver his conferences in French during two October 15th events being held to mark Co-op and Small and Medium Business Weeks in Summerside and Charlottetown.
Pépin will first speak at the Entrepreneurs’ and Co-operators’ Breakfast at 8:00 AM at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside. Free breakfast will be provided. Anyone wishing to attend must register by October 8th with Velma LeBlanc at 902-854-3439, ext. 228, or at email@example.com.
Pépin will then travel to Charlottetown for the Entrepreneurs’ and Co-operators’ Networking Event at 5:30 PM (location to be confirmed). This presentation will focus more on francophone immigrant-entrepreneurs. Island entrepreneur Ghislaine Cormier will speak about the many benefits of RDÉE PEI’s sales missions to Quebec. Immigrant entrepreneur Gidéon Banahene from Kaneshii Vinyl Press will talk about his business journey and the challenges he has faced. Éliane Salgueiro will talk about the Six Sigma organizational method. Snacks will be offered to participants. To register for the Charlottetown event, contact Chérine Stevula by October 11 at 902-370-7333, ext. 404, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI will also launch its entrepreneurial awards competition and RDÉE PEI will launch its Francophone Ignition Competition during both events.
These two events are presented by the LIENS project (funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Province of PEI), CBDC Central PEI, the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, RDÉE PEI and the Wellington Rural Action Centre.
