RDÉE Prince Edward Island and its Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI have lead four successful sales missions to Montreal in the past three years. They are now preparing for their fifth mission and are seeking businesses that might be able to participate in and benefit from this fall’s mission, slated for Oct. 22-26.
Their first four sales mission to generated exceptional results: more than $2,000,000 in sales as well as several other major contracts that are still being negotiated. They are therefore looking to continue to multiply these successes.
The eight businesses that will be chosen must have a product or service that is ready or almost ready to be shipped and sold to the Montreal and Québec City marketplace. The company must also have the ability to communicate well in French since many Montreal and Québec City buyers don’t necessarily speak English (the French-speaking person can be an employee, a hired representative, an agent, etc.).
Businesses accepted for the mission will receive the visit of a consultant who will gather in-depth details about the products or services to be sold. The consultant will then arrange meetings for each Island participating businesses with a minimum of eight potential buyers.
Participating businesses will have to pay 60 per cent of their lodging, meals and transportation costs to Québec (so estimated at between $750-$850). All other costs will be covered by RDÉE PEI. For example: the travel cost to and from buyers meetings, the consultant (matchmaker), network meetings, meeting rooms and morning continental breakfast.
The 26 participating businesses at our first four missions will attest to the great potential and the great return on investment.
All those interested in participating are to contact Robert at 902-370-7333, ext. 403, or firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. RDÉE Prince Edward Island is currently in the planning for the 5th Sales Mission to Québec markets.
