We’re excited to celebrate PEI Cycling Tours on their 1-year Member-versary with the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce!
We did a Q&A with Cynthia King, President of PEI Cycling Tours, to learn more about her business, her experience as a Chamber member, and what’s ahead.

  1. What drew you to join the Chamber, and how has it impacted your business over the past year?
    I was drawn to the Chamber to be part of a useful organization that offers tangible benefits. Over the past year, being a member has helped support the continued growth and stability of my business.
  2. If you could describe PEI in just three words, what would they be?
    Unique. Charming. Dramatic.
  3. What has been the most valuable Chamber resource or event you’ve taken part in since joining?
    The Chamber’s group insurance plan has been the most valuable resource for PEI Cycling Tours.
  4. Where’s your favourite local spot to unwind or grab a bite after a busy workday?
    Either The Pilot House, or simply relaxing at home.
  5. Looking ahead, what are you most excited about as a Chamber member this coming year?
    I’m most excited about continuing to grow the business.

6. What products or services do you offer?
PEI Cycling Tours offers full-service cycling tours across Prince Edward Island and Les ĂŽles de la Madeleine.
The business also operates Bits Bikes Brews, an outdoor café and bar located at Brookvale Nordic, serving mountain bikers in the summer and skiers, cyclists, and snowshoers during the winter months.

7. What makes your business unique?
PEI Cycling Tours takes a very hands-on, high-standard approach to every tour, prioritizing strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. By starting small and growing gradually over the past 10 years, the business has built a solid, sustainable foundation that supports confident growth moving forward.

8. Where’s your favourite hidden gem on PEI to explore?
While it may not be hidden, Brookvale Mountain Bike Park is a true gem, and, in my opinion, the best outdoor adventure experience on PEI.

9. What advice would you give to new Chamber members just starting out?
Take advantage of as many membership benefits as possible.

10. How does your business look different now compared to when it started?
10 Years ago, it was just me (with the help of my life partner) doing everything. From bookkeeping, ordering supplies and inventory, building bikes, booking and delivering tours and much more. Today, we have a team of amazing employees who work hard to uphold our high standards and build the important relationships that are integral to the company’s success. Physically, there is just more of everything: vehicles, bikes, buildings and people.
