BioFoodTech is pleased to welcome its new Executive Director – Jillian (MacCallum) Sproul. Jil joins the BioFoodTech team as an experienced leader with a history in biotech, manufacturing, quality management and sales, and a passion for helping others find success through coaching and innovation.
Jil is a graduate of UPEI and AVC with an M. Sc. in protein biochemistry, after which she began her professional career in the microbiology lab in 1989, when BioFoodTech was known as the PEI Food Technology Centre. Following this, Jil worked at Novartis (Elanco) where she held the roles of Quality Control Manager and Quality Training Manager. After 17 years in biotech and quality management, Jil took on the challenge to bring the brand of GoodLife Fitness to PEI. As the General Manager, the business grew to thrive as the largest fitness facility in PEI. After 6 years with GoodLife, Jil is excited to return to BioFoodTech.

Jil lives in Charlottetown with her husband John, and children Kali, Owen and AJ. Jil assumed the Executive Director position on January 10th, 2022.
