ABOUT TAFADZWA:  

Originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, Tafadzwa Mpaso has been a resident of Charlottetown since 2017. In 2022, he launched Epic Electric Scooters Inc., His user-friendly smartphone app allows locals and visitors to access our electric scooters, offering an eco-friendly convenient, and affordable transportation solution – with sustainability a core value. Taf says he firmly believes green alternatives are essential for the future of urban mobility. His electric scooters emit zero emissions and reduce traffic congestion, promoting cleaner transportation. Beyond business, he actively advocates for sustainable urban transportation. Together, Epic Electric Scooters is  steering Charlottetown and Summerside toward a cleaner, more eco-conscious future. From his Zimbabwean roots to his entrepreneurial venture, Taf’s mission is clear: lead the way towards greener urban mobility. 

ABOUT LACEY:

Lacey Koughan is owner of 24STRONG and a dancer, living in Charlottetown. She grew up dancing, performing, and always had a dream of opening her own dance studio one day. In 2016, at 16 years old, Lacey made that dream come true. She has since become a graduate from the StartupZone (PEI) and Vancouver-based accelerator, LOI Labs (where she was mentored by Chip Wilson and Ryan Holmes). Lacey’s passion and dedication to her work has led her to be recognized as One of Atlantic Canada’s 30 under 30 innovators, The Red Cross Young Humanitarian of the Year and has given her the opportunity to speak to various schools and groups about her entrepreneurial journey. Lacey is passionate about empowering Island youth to believe in themselves and their abilities and is excited for what’s to come in the future.
