On October 19, our Chamber participated in a roundtable discussion with Canada’s Director of Internal Trade as part of the Canadian government’s stakeholder engagement for its federal action plan to strengthen internal trade.
This roundtable gave the opportunity to share on-the-ground barriers to interprovinical trade and labour mobility being faced by PEI businesses, and to share suggestions on how the federal government could help accelerate action and opportunities for economic growth.
We look forward to continuing this dialogue to see a stronger Canadian economy and business environment.
Also at this meeting were representatives from the PEI Trucking Sector Council, Construction Association of PEI, and the PEI Federation of Agriculture.
