Chamber Submits Recommendations for City of Charlottetown 2025-26 Budget

The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) has submitted its 2025-26 Pre-Budget Submission to the City of Charlottetown, with recommendations under the subject headings of housing, infrastructure, safety, planning and reporting.

The GCACC recommended the City:

  1. Invest in ways to reduce regulatory delays and streamline the actualization of approved new builds.
  2. Invest in increased public parking options.
  3. Invest in increased policing or security presence in the downtown core for the security, safety and enjoyment of small business and their patrons.
  4. Invest in the release of the City of Charlottetown Official Plan.

 

Our Chamber appeared before City Council on December 13th to present these recommendations.
