The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business Insights Luncheon on the new cannabis legislation on Wednesday, May 2. The event will provide a high-level overview of the legislation, specifically, implications for employers and the workplace. A moderated panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A period with attendees. The luncheon will take place from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel.
The panelists include Detry Carragher, Management Consultant, and Chartered Professional in Human Resources with CARVO GROUP; Bobbi Jo Flynn, Justice Policy Analyst, PEI Department of Justice & Public Safety; and Karen Campbell, QC, Partner, Cox & Palmer. The topics of discussion will include medicinal versus recreational cannabis use, employee and employer rights and a general overview of the new legislation. The panel will be moderated by Jennifer Evans, Chamber Vice-President and General Manager of Ocean 100/Hot 105.5.
