Charlottetown, PE (Nov. 8, 2022) – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce extends congratulations to the successful mayoral and council candidates in the Greater Charlottetown Area. Last night’s municipal results re-elected Philip Brown as Mayor of Charlottetown and Steve Ogden as Mayor of Stratford. Minerva McCourt, who ran uncontested, will return as Mayor of Cornwall by acclamation.
“The Chamber works with municipal governments to help create and advocate for the right conditions for businesses to succeed in the community,” said Chamber President, Bill DeBlois. “It’s important that our new municipal governments have a clear understanding of the needs and priorities of the business community, and we look forward to having these discussions in the very near future.”
Last week, the Chamber hosted Mayoral Candidates Debates for the City of Charlottetown and partnered with the Town of Stratford for Stratford’s mayoral debate.
The Chamber also wishes to extend congratulations to all municipal candidates for a hard-fought election campaign.
