The Construction Association of PEI (CAPEI) has launched a new initiative to help member companies recruit skilled immigrants for Island construction jobs.
The initiative, TradesCan, is a partnership CAPEI has with two island businesses that provide immigrant recruitment and career marketing activities. Together, through this initiative, CAPEI will identify immigrants looking to come to PEI with experience or training in the construction industry, help them through the immigration process, and, in an effort to reduce labour shortages, facilitate job placements within the Island’s construction sector.
