Today, Friday, May 15, the federal government announced:

  • The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) will be extended an additional 12 weeks to August 29, 2020. There are also a series of regulatory changes to extend eligibility for the CEWS to additional groups.

Today, the provincial government announced:

  • The anticipated start date of the “Renew PEI, Together” plan Phase 3 has been adjusted from June 12 to June 1, allowing businesses outlined in this phase to reopen earlier than expected. The anticipated start date of Phase 2 remains next Friday, May 22.
