Dear Members,
Today, May 1, the Chamber:
- Issued the following statement: Chamber identifies business needs for moving forward with “Renew PEI Together” plan
- Met virtually with Premier Dennis King and Minister of Economic Growth, Tourism & Culture, Matthew MacKay to (1) outline members’ questions and concerns regarding the “Renew PEI Together” plan and (2) present solutions to increase communication and collaboration between the business community and public health officials. The Chamber felt this meeting was productive and that suggestions put forward were well received. We look forward to supporting members in this process in the days ahead.
Today, the provincial government announced:
- All businesses and organizations must have an operational plan in place. An operational plan template to help businesses and organizations plan and adjust to public health guidelines is being developed by public health officials and will be posted on the provincial government website when available. The Chamber will also share this template with you through our regular member updates, our resource page and on our social media platforms when available.
- Business questions can be answered by contacting provincial public health officials at 1-800-958-6400 or envhealth@ihis.org.
On Thursday, April 30, the Chamber hosted a Chamber Live webinar with Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Heather Morrison, to answer questions and provide clarity on the “Renew PEI Together” plan. Watch the recording here.
As always, we are here for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Sincerely,
Dawn Binns, President
Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce
