Dear Members,
Today, Thursday, April 2, the provincial government announced further supports for Island businesses:
- The COVID-19 Special Situations Fund – a $1 million fund for Islanders who may not qualify for existing support programs. Starting tomorrow, Friday, April 3, businesses, community organizations, and NGOs who are financially impacted by COVID-19 and may not qualify for any other federal or provincial program can call 1-833-533-9333 and select 3 for business supports. Applications must be received by April 15.
- The COVID-19 Business Adaptation Advice Program – this program will cover the entire cost for businesses and entrepreneurs, up to $2,500, to hire a professional to provide advice and support on how to adapt or recover from the impacts of the pandemic. Professional services may include human resources and financial planning, digital or IT solutions, or even marketing. More information will be available here starting tomorrow, Friday, April 3.
As always, we are here for you. We will continue to advocate on your behalf and share relevant information as it becomes available. Please continue to reach out with your questions and feedback.
Sincerely,
