The Fireworks Feast
The Fireworks Feast is still happening every night until October 12, 2024.
The FireWorks is named for Chef Michael Smith’s 25-foot brick-lined, wood-burning, fire-breathing beast that anchors the nightly Feast at The Inn at Bay Fortune, Prince Edward Island. The Fire Brigade creates a new menu daily using ingredients from The Inn at Bay Fortune’s Culinary Farm and herb gardens. It showcases wild foraging and a myriad of locally sourced flavours. The FireWorks Feast is served nightly from May 17 to October 12, 2024.
Our unique dining experience takes place over four hours featuring ingredients from our Culinary Farm, foraged and local tastes. Start with a Culinary Farm Tour with a petite Farm Taste of the freshest vegetable on the farm. Next is Oyster Hour featuring ember roasted oysters, unlimited raw oysters and various stations with hors d’oeuvres cooked or smoked with live fire. After a toast, we Feast. The Feast includes a sit-down multi-course meal in front of our 25-foot live-fire hearth. We serve a Bread course, Iron Chowder, Earth Plate & Salad Course, Meat with Vegetables Course, and Farm Dessert. Ending the night is our seasonal house-made marshmallows to roast over an open fire.

Hosted by Chef Michael Smith, Chef Shane Chartrand, Chef Michael Hunter, and The Inn at Bay Fortune Fire Brigade, we invite you to enjoy an epic evening exploring an interactive chef’s paradise of farm, fire, flavours, and friends! You’ll discover culinary delights at every turn, including multiple distinct Farm & Fire flavour stations. Our learning food stations will focus on Culinary Farm, local suppliers, Island seafood and Island foraged indigenous ingredients and gifts from our Guest Chefs.
Prepare to embark on an extraordinary culinary journey as an array of outdoor fire-fueled food stations will be scattered throughout the extensive Culinary Farm, gardens, Art Forest & Woodland Trails, FireGarden, FireWorks Restaurant, Greenhouse Event Space, Mushroom Patch and the whimsical grounds of The Inn at Bay Fortune. This is your invitation to a delectable adventure of taste and discovery.

2024 Taste Canada Awards
Chef Michael Smith’s newest cookbook Farmhouse Vegetables has been nominated for a shortlist Taste Canada Award in the Single Subject Cookbooks category.
The award is given to the best cookbook written by a Canadian author (or authors), which features a single topic in the culinary world. This category may include books about a specific food, beverage, cooking method, meal and/or target a very specific audience, such as cookbooks written by professional chefs for professional chefs.
