On March 3, the Chamber submitted its feedback to the Chair of the Employment Standards Act Comprehensive Review Panel (ESACRP), Andrew Thompson, as part of the first round of consultations.
In our submission and on behalf of the over 20,000 employees our membership represents, we note two areas for the panel for further study and consultations:
- Minimum Wage Methodology – ensuring a transparent, fair and predictable process.
- Paid Sick Leave – ensuring a balanced and robust consultation.
Both of these areas have been top of mind of Chamber members and we are glad to see this comprehensive review take place as we prepare for recovery and growth.
