Charlottetown, PE (Jan. 22, 2025) – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce (“GCACC”) is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 President’s Excellence Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of the Island business community.
The awards were handed out on Wednesday, January 22nd, during the gala at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Prince Edward. Presented by The Gray Group Real Estate and Development, the gala honoured finalists and winners across nine categories.
The award recipients are as follows:
Excellence in Customer Service Award
Co-sponsored by BDO Canada and Cox & Palmer, this award honours a business with a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, customer loyalty, and community involvement.

Excellence in Business Award
Sponsored by Scotiabank, this award celebrates a business that has been operating for 10+ years, with more than 15 full-time employees, while demonstrating excellence in business in all areas of operations.

People’s Choice for Community Impact Award
Sponsored by MRSB, this award recognizes a small, locally owned and operated business that has earned an engaged and loyal following, support from the community, and contributes to the greater good of the community. The recipient of this award is chosen through a public vote.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Sponsored by Provincial Credit Union, this prestigious award celebrates an individual or business that exemplifies entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and community involvement while successfully operating for 15+ years.
The 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dow’s Fashions for its dedication to quality and exceptional customer service for over 60 years. Joseph Dow, who runs the store alongside his wife, accepted the award. The clothing store was founded in 1962 by his father, George Dow, and remains a cornerstone of the Island’s business community.
The President’s Excellence Awards are held annually by the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce to honour and celebrate excellence within the local business community. Nominations for the 2026 President’s Excellence Awards will open in September 2025.
