Applications are now open for the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Rising Entrepreneur Award. Sponsored by Innovation PEI, this award aims to encourage and support entrepreneurs 30 years of age and younger.
“Supporting young entrepreneurs means investing in the future of our local economy,” said Bianca McGregor, CEO of the Chamber. “Through this award, we’re proud to recognize emerging business leaders who are turning ideas into action, and to provide them with the support, connections, and confidence they need to grow and succeed.”
The award winner will receive a one-time $2,500 cash prize, quarterly mentorship meetings, and a one-year complimentary membership with the Chamber.
Applicants must:
- Be 30 years of age or younger as of May 31st, 2026
- Be the owner, founder, or controlling shareholder of the company and principally responsible for its operation
- Have operated in PEI for at least the past six consecutive months
- Company must be a for-profit, with an incorporation date no older than 5 years
The recipient will be selected by the Chamber’s Rising Entrepreneur Judging Committee, with the winner announced on May 14th at the Chamber’s President’s Luncheon event.

The annual award was originally launched in 2022, taking inspiration from the Chamber’s previous Student Entrepreneur Award. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2026.
