Charlottetown, PE (August 6, 2021) – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be featuring an exciting lineup of events and activities to inspire entrepreneurship, celebrate small business, and strengthen the connection between business and community during Small Business Week 2021, happening October 18 to 22.
The theme of this year’s Small Business Week programming is digitization. The COVID-19 pandemic sent millions to work from home and shop online, causing tremendous challenges for many small businesses and a clear need for further digitization.
“As we progress through the end of the pandemic and towards economic recovery, the digitization of business will play an important role,” said Nicole Bellefleur, Interim CEO of the Chamber. “Small Business Week 2021 will be an exciting time for the business community as restrictions continue to be lifted, and people are able to network and connect at the featured events.”
The Chamber will host a variety of events and activities over the course of the week that will provide business professionals with the opportunities, skills, and connections they need to succeed on their digitization journey.
Information sessions of various sizes and formats, hosted by business experts and industry leaders, will focus on digital trends and small business training, while the Mega Mixer event will give entrepreneurs, recent graduates, and job seekers an opportunity to network and build connections. The largest event of the week, the 2021 Keynote Address, will feature a high-profile speaker to motivate and educate small business owners and professionals on digital transformations.
The Chamber is looking forward to showcasing Island businesses and community connections during Small Business Week 2021. Stay tuned in the months ahead as more information on the Chamber’s Small Business Week programming becomes available.
