Charlottetown, PE (July 28, 2021) – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Godfrey as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 7, 2021.

Robert currently serves as the Executive Director of the Prince Edward Island Federation of Agriculture. Robert comes with experience having worked as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Executive Council Office of the Government of Prince Edward Island after spending six years working with national associations in Ottawa, including the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and Fertilizer Canada, in senior policy roles.

“We are thrilled that Robert has agreed to join the Chamber as its new CEO,” said Barb Smith, President of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Robert brings a high level of management and policy experience to the role, and as a Board, we look forward to working with him to advance the priorities of the Chamber.”

The Chamber also wishes to thank Interim-CEO Nicole Bellefleur for stepping up and serving in this role while the Board of Directors found a new CEO. She will continue in this role until Robert joins the team in September.
