Charlottetown, PE (May 16, 2024) – The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the swearing-in of Ben Parsons as its 119th Board President. Parsons was sworn in alongside fellow directors at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 16, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Prince Edward.

Parsons is the owner of DALMAC – Print, Signs, Cresting, a manufacturer and supplier of visual communication products to Island and Atlantic Canadian businesses and individuals.

Parsons has served as Chair of the Chamber’s Advocacy Committee and sat on the Finance, Audit, and Investment Committee.

“I am honoured to step into the role of Chamber President. My vision for the year is to create a renewed focus on advocacy to uplift businesses of all sizes and fuel economic growth and competitiveness for our province,” said Parsons. “I look forward to collaborating with our members, stakeholders, and all levels of government to drive meaningful change for our business community.”

Parsons has previously worked in management and finance for several companies in the province, including Cogsdale Corporation, D.P. Murphy Inc., Maritime Electric Company Ltd., and The Mount Continuing Care Community.

He graduated from UPEI in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts, Economics degree. He received his Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University in 2013 and holds a CPA, CMA designation with Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island.

Ben and his wife Amy live in Charlottetown with their three children and dogs. Amy is the owner and operator of Amy Parsons Photography in Charlottetown.
