For J. BERGMAN ART STUDIO, summer of 2023 seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye.  During the past few months paintings by Janos Bergman, Summerside, P.E.I.-based artist, have seen no less than four major international exhibitions located in the art capitals of the European Union.

During April 21-May 5th, ARTE ROMA exhibition was held in the 16th century palace Palazzo Maffei Marescotti, built in 1580. The palace in Rome is the property of the Vatican.

The “International Contemporary Art Exhibition Giacomo Casanova” in Venice was held during May 13-27th in the Venice Art Gallery with the participation of some 70 artists invited from all over the world. The only invited artist, Bergman’s paintings were representing P.E.I. and Canada.

Exhibition “Contemporary Masa” in Tuscany, Italy, May 13-28, presented the artwork of artists invited from across the European continent.   Paintings by Janos Bergman were the only ones representing Canada.

The International Contemporary Art Exhibition, Arte Bratislava, was held during May 30-June 11, in the former Royal Castle in Bratislava, Slovakia. Invited artists represented countries of the European Union.  Once again, Janos Bergman from Summerside, P.E.I. was the only invited Canadian artist.  During the past 12 months Janos has proudly represented his province and country.   He firmly believes that his presence at these events will further promote tourism and trade for the benefit of our province.
