On March 9, 2021, Chamber CEO Penny Walsh-McGuire and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of PEI sent a joint letter to the Hon. Dennis King, Premier of PEI, to express support from both organizations to safely re-establish the Atlantic Bubble in advance of the 2021 tourism season. The letter also asked for collaboration among the four Atlantic Premiers to establish a plan that clearly defines the re-open conditions and urged the Premier to work with his colleagues to harmonize the rules and regulations for re-establishing the Bubble.
