Starting October 5, 2021, Prince Edward Island is introducing the PEI Vax Pass Program. Under this time-limited initiative, individuals 12 years of age and older will need to show proof of vaccination to access some indoor and outdoor businesses, services and events. Initially, Island residents and visitors will need to show proof using their government-issued vaccination record along with a valid government-issued photo ID.

In the coming weeks, Prince Edward Island will be introducing a Vax Pass for Island residents and individuals vaccinated in the province that features a secure QR code confirming that they are fully vaccinated.

The requirement to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination is a temporary measure until the risk of COVID-19 to residents is reduced. For individuals vaccinated outside of PEI, their government-issued proof of vaccination must be presented in either English or French.
