Rodd Hotels & Resorts has been awarded Tourism Operator of the Year 2025 by the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI), recognizing the company’s 90-year legacy of hospitality and its continued commitment to growth, innovation, and community.

What began in 1935 as a group of cottages founded by Wally Rodd on Prince Edward Island has evolved into one of Atlantic Canada’s most established and trusted hotel brands. Today, under the leadership of Mark Rodd, the company operates a collection of full-service resorts and hotels across the region, each reflecting the same warmth, care, and sense of home that started it all.

“This award truly belongs to our team,” said Mark Rodd, President and CEO. “Every one of them lives and breathes hospitality daily, often with more patience than words can explain. They’re the reason guests keep coming back and why we still love what we do after nine decades.”

Rodd Hotels & Resorts continues to invest in digital innovation and guest experience from property renovations and new technology to expanded loyalty and sustainability initiatives. The company’s long-term vision remains focused on strengthening Atlantic Canada’s position as a leading travel destination.

The Tourism Operator of the Year award recognition reflects not only its longevity but also its dedication to adapting to changing traveller expectations while staying true to the company’s Maritime roots.

“As we look to the future, we’re still learning, evolving, and finding new ways to showcase the East Coast spirit that defines us,” added Rodd. “We’re proud to be part of such an inspiring industry and grateful for the recognition.”
