Charlottetown, PE: The Greater Charlottetown Area of Commerce issued the following statement regarding the Chief Public Health Office decision to make masks mandatory in all indoor public spaces.

“As we respond to the ever-evolving challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber supports evidence-based decisions and policies that keep Islanders safe and increases consumer confidence. The decision to make masks mandatory in indoor spaces will remove the ambiguity for businesses and the public,” said Chamber CEO Penny Walsh-McGuire.

“We appreciate Dr. Morrison’s strong leadership in keeping Islanders safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chief Public Health Officer is in the business of setting public health policy, and we support policies that allow our members to safely operate their businesses.”
