Chief Executive Officer – Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) serves as the “Voice of Business” on economic issues for 1100+ members representing a diverse network of small, medium, and large businesses from almost every industry sector and business profession in Prince Edward Island’s (PEI) capital region. As PEI’s largest business advocacy organization, GCACC is committed to supporting sound business practices and connecting business while drawing attention to the issues affecting its members and the communities they serve.
It is within this exciting context that GCACC is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Reporting to GCACC’s Board of Directors and leading a team of talented and engaged employees, the CEO provides strategic leadership in the day-to-day operations of the Chamber including member services, events, advocacy, finances, and community outreach and networking. In collaboration with the Chamber President, the CEO is a key ambassador, nurturing strong relationships that enhance the visibility of the Chamber and ensures that its voice is loudly heard and aligned with the needs and issues facing its members.
As a strong candidate, you bring relevant post-secondary education ideally combined with previous experience reporting to, or serving on, a Board of Directors. The Chamber will benefit from your strong business and financial acumen and your demonstrable skill in planning and program management. Held in high esteem for your positivity, professionalism, integrity, and humility, you are a highly collegial and authentic individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, political acuity, and proven skill in creating strong and effective relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders and partners. You are a collaborative and empowering people leader passionate about coaching, mentoring, and creating a cohesive team united in a culture of continuous improvement and client service excellence. Highly analytical and a proven change leader, you have demonstrated great skill in ensuring that programs and services are efficient, effective, and aligned with desired goals and impacts. You are a creative problem solver with an art of the possible mindset keen to explore new opportunities for innovation, partnerships, sponsorships, and programs that enhance the Chamber’s community profile and business engagement with its members.

Salary range: $99,000 – $115,000
