Whitecap Entertainment successfully brought two music festivals to Prince Edward Island in 2023.
This past July 6th-8th brought the return of two-time award-winner of the Canadian Country Music Association Festival / Event of the Year and nominee for the East Coast Music Association Festival / Event of the Year, Bell Presents Cavendish Beach Music Festival (CBMF). CBMF has quickly grown to become Atlantic Canada’s largest multi-day outdoor music festival. Located in the picturesque coastal resort community of Cavendish, P.E.I, it has turned into the hottest, most star-studded spot in the region every July, attracting over 60,000 country music fans each year. This year’s headliners included Kane Brown, Jake Owen, and Chris Stapelton. With two shows over the weekend from the Snowbirds over the festival grounds, and fireworks closing out the weekend, there was no shortage of entertainment. Past festival performers have included Luke Combs, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Brett Eldredge, Lady Antebellum, and country legends Ricky Skaggs, Alabama, Reba, and pop sensation Shawn Mendes. The 2024 festival will be held July 5th-7th, 2024.
On July 14th and 15th, Whitecap produced Bell Presents Sommo Festival, Atlantic Canada’s newest multi-day festival, in P.E.I. Bell Presents Sommo brought top multi-genre musical performances and culinary experiences to the East Coast. This new festival celebrated the best of the Atlantic Provinces while showcasing some of the biggest musical and culinary names from around the world. The festival’s inaugural year included Mumford & Sons, Maggie Rogers, Vance Joy, and Lord Huron, along with culinary experiences featuring Gail Simmons, Amanda Freitag, Matt Moore, and Dale Mackay.
